We love getting the scoop on new products to primp pooches. So when the La Fresh Group told us a new line of pet wipes were soon-to-be released, our spaniel heads tilted and shepherd ears perked. In other words, we wagged and wanted to learn more.
“Do you have a dog who could use freshen-up wipes, clean ears and sparkly teeth,” they asked.
Looking down at my guinea pig, make that cocker spaniel, I echoed a resounding “yes!”
So for 30 days we tested the Divas & Studs canine care products and their w.a.g. (Wash and Go) doggy wipes. I have a tri-colored dog whose primary color is white. This was a potential match made in cleaning heaven.
After playing ball at the dog park, I always give Dexter a “once over” and clean his paws and pads and wipe him down before heading home – dirt galore, slobber city and grime time all come to mind after a session at the dog park. We tried the Wash and Go (w.a.g.) wipes first. Oooooh la la is all I can say. They smell clean yet not perfumey and one cloth cleaned ALL FOUR PAWS. Very impressive. For good measure, I used a second wipe to clean off his back, chest and legs. Let’s just say I was glad to leave behind the ca-ca and happy to bring home the clean cocker.
Anyone with floppy eared dogs knows the struggles and tribulations associated with prevention of ear infections and unwelcomed odors of the outer, inner and middle ear. Having been owned by cockers for much of my adult life, the key for me is prevention. Keeping the hair clipped shorter, especially on the inside flap and a weekly or more ear flush has definitely kept infections away. Never dig into Fido’s ear canal, so what a joy to use the ear buff finger mitts from the Divas & Studs line. Slip on your finger and clean Fido’s outer ear with a few gentle swipes. Thirty per pack and retails at $9.99.
La Fresh is a line that claims to make “a difference in people’s lives through its performance, convenience and conscientiousness.” Now with this new line of canine products, this FIDO Friendly tester’s cleaning patrol has gotten a whole lot easier. Makes a cute and practical stocking stuffer, too.
