Old World Hospitality Meets Modern Luxury: FIDO Friendly Dossier Now Open in Portland

Elevated service, understated elegance, gracious amenities and two new dining and cocktail destinations – Opal and Omertà – await guests who check in. Dog friendly too!

Dossier, the highly-anticipated new addition to Provenance Hotels’ collection of award-winning independent hotels, is now open in the heart of downtown Portland. The 205-room upscale hotel located at SW Park Avenue and SW Alder Street, is reminiscent of a private club specializing in Old World hospitality, elegant design and gracious service in a modern setting. An inviting new lobby, art-filled guest rooms including a spacious penthouse suite, two new food and beverage destinations, and a host of luxurious amenities await the discerning traveler and reflect a sophisticated side of the city that both contrasts and compliments the quirkiness for which Portland is famed.

With an emphasis on personalized service and an expert team of VIP guest hosts who boast unparalleled access, Dossier is designed for guests who want to seek out the city’s top restaurant experiences, connect with up-and-coming artists and designers and explore the area’s surrounding wine country, producer of the world’s best pinot noirs. For those visiting the region for business, the Dossier team stands at the ready with on-call graphic designers and the connections necessary to expedite the preparation of a winning presentation. The VIP host team that makes this magic happen is based out of Dossier’s gracious lobby.

From Dossier’s lobby guests can also see into Opal, the newest destination from Portland’s acclaimed Lightning Bar Collective, through windows that give a bartender’s eye view into an architectural jewel box. Named after the precious gem, Opal has its own entrance on Park Avenue and features curved banquettes and a stunningly intricate walnut ceiling that gives the space a warm glow reminiscent of the fiery luminesce for which the bar’s namesake is renown. The opal is considered the stone of inspiration and thought to enhance imagination and creativity. In keeping with that spirit, the bar’s expert team has crafted a menu of classic cocktails and curated an extensive wine list that are sure to inspire and delight.

The food menu focuses on light, sharable options with plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices. Guests are invited to order cocktails, bottles and small plates to share. Opal serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
