The Swanx is the Original Hand Painted Clog Company. All of their leather clogs come from Denmark and are then painted by local artists in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
What is amazing about pet portraits is that the artists have to work on a curved surface with the shoe. It's not as easy as paining on a flat piece of material. Also, the paints are very specific to leather and not easy to mix up the perfect colors but The Swanx does it!

About our feature dog looking for his forever home: My name is Fortune and that's what my new life is going to be… a fortune filled with lots of love and a great family to share it with. I'm a very regal looking dog, some would say gorgeous, but I'm humble. I'm about 2 or 3 years old and close to 80lbs. Mutts Matter took me into their rescue as part of a cruelty case. My former "owner" was breeding me for puppies. They didn't socialize me, so I'm learning to trust people again. Even though I've been through a lot, I'm amazingly sweet and don't have a mean or aggressive bone in my body.
New Update! I have made HUGE strides in my foster home, and have started coming out of my shell. I've learned to walk on a leash and enjoy multiple walks a day with my foster family. I'm 100% potty-trained, and I love my foster family and their new dog too. I love to run and play, and especially like going to the dog park to meet new human and dog friends!!

Mutts Matter Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non profit, all volunteer based organization, with combined rescue experience of over 15 years. They work in conjunction with shelters and other organizations to help save animals on death row, the strays on the street, or ones in unsafe living conditions. They adopt in the DC, VA, and MD areas, with a few exception out of the tri-state area depending on the dog and situation. MMR is a "virtual shelter" shelter, so all of their animals are in foster homes until they find their forever home. MMR is driven by love, compassion, and hope.
