1st Yappy Hour at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay a Big Success – Upcoming Dates Announced!

FIDO encourages you to “Bark” your calendar for the next series of Yappy Hours at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay!
HALF MOON BAY, CALIF. – Dates have been announced for the upcoming Yappy Hours at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. Grab Fido and stop by the resort’s Gazebo Lawn between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. for future Yappy Hours on the last Thursday of each month, scheduled for July 25, August 29, and WED September 25 for schmoozing and sniffing with fellow dogs and the humans who love them. “At The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, we are dog-passionate. Guests on all fours are very welcome,” said Jay Heidenreich, Director of Sales & Marketing for the hotel.
After all, the only thing better than visiting The Ritz-Carlton after a long day is bringing your best furry friend along for the fun. Canine clientele enjoy complimentary treats and flavored waters while their owners sip on specially priced beer and wine from the bar, as well as a special “Yappetizer” menu. Items from the resort’s Pampered Pooch menu, including “Bow Wow Meatballs and Rice” and “Canine Casserole” will be available for purchase. For the “ulti-mutt” in luxury, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Half Moon Bay will offer “Pooch and Parent” 15-minute massages. Other activities include walks on the Coastal Trail and games of frisbee on the beach. The event is complemented by music and the striking ocean views for which the resort is known. A portion of all proceeds will go towards the Peninsula Humane Society as part of the resort’s Community Footprints initiative.
“We’re proud that The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay is a pet friendly place, thanks to our fantastic Pampered Pooch Program,” continued Heidenreich. “Yappy Hour is a great opportunity to help a great cause like the Peninsula Humane Society and introduce dogs and their humans to our gorgeous resort.”
The resort’s new Pampered Pooch Program provides the same luxuries that human guests experience to their furry companions. Doggie guests are treated to a plush bed, bowls for food and water, a souvenir chew toy, homemade treats, a walking trail map, and an in-room doggie menu. A portion of the $125 pet cleaning fee is donated to the Peninsula Humane Society.
