3rd Annual Furry Friends Fiesta Day October 5th Featuring Travlin’ Jack

FIDO’s friend Travelin’ Jack--New Mexico’s premier pet travel reporter and Ambassa-Dog will once again partner with the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum as Canine Co-Host for the 3rd annual Furry Friends Fiesta Day, a fiesta of fun for pets and their families on Saturday, October 5th.
As New Mexico’s Ambassa-dog, it was an easy decision to designate the winnings to animal welfare. Travelin’ Jack (and Jill) selected two pet charities to split the $1000 prize. The first organization to receive a prize check is SAVE LUCKY PAWS, an affiliate foundation for the City of Albuquerque’s Animal Welfare Department. They help subsidize the Lucky Paws pet adoption location at Coronado Mall. The second prize check will be presented to the Chama Valley Humane Society for their animal welfare work in northern New Mexico.
The New Mexico Tourism Department will present the prize checks to the Executive Directors of both groups at a Special Presentation at this year’s Furry Friends Fiesta Day. The presentation will take place on the Smokey Bear Balloon stage at 11:30 on the North Lawn.
Furry Friends Fiesta Day runs from 7:30AM to 3PM and is FREE to the general public. Visitors are invited to bring their leashed pets into the North Lawn area to enjoy all the activities at Furry Friends Fiesta Day.
Travelin’ Jack will be there in dog-person at the “JACK’S SMACKS KISSING BOOTH” to dole out kisses and ‘paw-digraph’ his award winning children’s book “Travelin’ Jack’s Story….From Shelter to Star” . All Travelin’ Jack ‘s activities are fundraisers for animals.
