ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge
August 01, 2012 • Rescue
The $100K Challenge is a national competition to inspire animal shelters—and those who support them—to go above and beyond to increase pet adoption, reunite lost pets with their families and save more animals’ lives. FIDO loves this challenge and is thrilled that for the third year in a row, shelters around the country are in a race to save more animals’ lives.
The Challenge enlists 50 competing animal shelters to spend the next three months working tirelessly to increase their adoption numbers over the same period last year. The winning shelter will receive a $100,000 grant from the ASPCA and Rachael Ray to continue its life-saving work—and other contestants will vie for a chance to bring home some of nearly $500,000 in additional grant prizes.
Kicking-off today and continuing into this weekend, many shelter contestants will be holding large adoption events all over the country. You can follow along on Twitter using hashtag #100KChallenge
