Bark for Life: May 2010
March 18, 2010 • Travel
How often in life do we hear stories of dogs being more than our best friends? Search and rescue, police and therapy, service and diagnostic, a loving paw in times in illness. For those with cancer and whose lives have been directly affected by it, the American Cancer Society is celebrating canine caregivers.
The American Cancer Society Bark For LifeTM is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer.
Where: Riverside Park, New York
When: Sunday, May 2, 2010; 9 am – 1 pm
What: A fun-filled day with a relay, demonstrations, contests, games, and celebrations!
By supporting Bark for LifeTM, the American Cancer Society moves one step closer to the ultimate goal of a world filled with less cancer and more birthdays.
Dogs stand not in judgment of who we are nor what illnesses affect us. Providing comfort and unconditional love, security and hope, our Fido friends are the true epitomy of triump in the face of adversity.
