Busy Bones Mean Happy FIDO !

FIDO Friendly Social Media Director (and member of Purina’s Brand Review Blogger team) Ali Kochie and her rescue dog Dewey, were excited to receive a box FULL of Purina Busy® Treats to sample. We were even more exited to learn that our friends at Purina were giving us an additional box to share with one lucky FIDO Friendly fan. Dewey knew something yummy was up when this big box was delivered and opened – lots of tail wagging and sniffing. Now although Dewey is a mid-sized Aussie Shepherd mix, she has always been a little neurotic when it comes to bones. I have tried offering her all sizes in the past, and while she always takes them with great excitement, it is far more likely that I will find the bone hidden under a pillow on the sofa or behind a chair in the dining room than I will find her actually enjoying it.
We started with the Busy Bone for small/ medium dogs …… taken and immediately hidden next to our fireplace within 2 minutes. “Uh oh, here we go again”, I thought .... BUT, when I offered her the smaller “ mini” size we had success! Dewey took it eagerly and immediately plopped down and enjoyed it.
Over the next few weeks we tried different sizes and versions and found that the Rollhides, Chewnola and Busy Bone Minis were the big winners in our household and will definitely be added to Dewey’s special treats. We shared the larger (aka “hideable”) sized treats with Dewey’s 80 pound lab mix pal Finn, and she enjoyed every last bite of EVERY sized bone we offered her.
