Dog Fun: Puppy Piñata Product Review
July 08, 2010 • Product Reviews
I don’t consider myself a skeptic, but when I heard about a fluffy toy stuffed with mouth-watering, tasty treats, I thought to myself, “Oh, brother. Keep my dog away.” Not more fuzz to have to clean up after my 93 pound lovable yet shredder mutt! However, not only was I pleasantly surprised, but I had fun watching my Fido, Mercury , have so much fun. I don’t know who was happier, Mercury with her new pal or me once I saw all of the included treats that came with it. Mercury, a once ferocious destructor of anything fluffy or squeaky in her path, and Poncho, her Puppy Piñata, are now inseparable best of friends. Since this is probably the first stuffed toy Mercury hasn’t gutted, I guess that age old saying of “don’t bite the hand that feeds you” certainly rings true.
Puppy Pinata 2-in-1 toy is such a refreshing toy that really does do more to engage your pup compared to the average treats or toys in today’s market. When I first introduced Poncho to Mercury, I made sure she saw the treats were going inside his tummy, and left the Velcro® a little undone. Even though Mercury quickly got the hang of it, she still had to work against the tough Velcro® to earn her reward.
Puppy Pinata is available as Poncho or Lulu, in both small-medium and medium-large sizes for dogs up to 25 lbs. and for dogs over 25 lbs, respectively. Already have a Poncho and Lulu? Don’t worry – there’s much more diversity among this family, including holiday snowman, Señor Fio and Halloween jack o’lantern, Señor Jack. Each character retails from $9.99 to $7.99, so you get to decide which size is more economical for you.
And, although your pup may not know it, with every Puppy Piñata adopted, a portion of those proceeds are donated to SPCA International, an organization that’s dedicated to raising awareness of animal well-being and safety. So, not only do you have a great excuse to pamper your pooch with the just-gotta-have toy, but in doing so, you’ll get an extra kiss from fido and a pat on the back for being a part of an important cause. There you have it – happiness started and spread through just one special toy…Puppy Pinata
