Ever wonder how your dog sees the world or what he does when you are away?

Ever wonder what your dog is doing when you aren’t home? Where he or she roams, what they look at, what mischief or lack thereof happens?

Or maybe you wish you could see the world through your dog’s eyes. What exactly does it feel like to walk by your side, view the big ole’ world and take it all in from a canine point of view?

Shy of setting up expensive video cameras to monitor Fido’s every movement, DOGTEK has the paw-fect solution: The EYENIMAL pet cam, which attaches simply and securely to your dog’s collar.

Named as one of the top new products at the prestigious Global Pet Expo held in Orlando, Florida, the EYENIMAL has an 8GB built-in flash memory, 500 mA Li-Ion lithium battery, autofocus CMOS, and is a video camera that weighs ounces and captures both video and sound continuously for up to 2.5 hours.

Touted as weatherproof, this 1.2 ounce camera requires no special software uploads or downloads. You simply charge it using the provided USB charger. It clips onto the dog’s collar easily and then “pops” out so you can see what Fido sees. After recording in half-hour segments for up to 2.5 hours of continuous taping, the user simply slides it off Fido’s collar, hooks up the USB to the computer and it instantly sends the video to your computer. It is both Windows and Mac compatible.

Because the EYENIMAL is equipped with both an autofocus sensor as well as automatic brightness sensor, it allows the camera to adjust easily from indoor to outdoor use.

Since we are heavy travelers here at FIDO Friendly magazine, our paw-tastic product tester, Dexter, took the streets of New York City last weekend where we were in town on business. I must say, I have a whole new level of respect for what dogs see, what they go through and how they view the world. I taped 2-1/2 hours of footage and narrowed it down to 2 minutes for your “get aboard the cocker” experience. This made me think this is what fleas see, too. Eep.

Learn more by visiting DOGTEK.Nicely price pointed at MSRP $129.00, this makes a worthy addition to the dog lovers collection without having to break the bank on a more elaborate setup. Four paws up from FIDO Friendly.

Without further ado, we present Dexter, dog on the NYC town using the EYENIMAL.
