Have a dog who pulls on walks? Meet the DOG-e-Walk: FIDO Friendly product review

I love walking our dogs Junior and Jake. When my husband Greg is not along for this exercise, it can become a little difficult managing both these hounds by myself. My black Lab Junior is pretty easy to handle unless there is a fox our kitten to chase and Jake, the Boxer and newest to the clan, still has a lot to learn from his older brother about pulling while on leash.

Reviewing the DOG-e-Walk the other day put my little Boxer to the test. This product uses ultrasonic signals to stop leash pulling and discourage unwanted behavior. The DOG-e-Walk is simple to attach between the collar and the leash.

When Jake started to pull, an ultrasonic tone (audible only to Jake and Junior) sounded. I wish I had my camera with me to catch their reactions, as if to say, ‘what the heck is that?’  Off on our walk again, testing as we go, the harder Jake would pull, the louder the signal became.

I understand from the manufacturer that with regular use, Jake should stop pulling completely. Since both dogs are stopping in their tracks, I guess you could say I got two-for-one with the DOG-e-Walk.
