About 8 months ago we noticed that Gus was gaining weight and didn’t seem to be himself. He use to enjoy going on walks, playing with his Goldendoodle buddies and chasing us around the house but now he seemed to be lethargic and just didn’t have the energy to play.
Then we noticed his hair started falling out and his skin seemed to be getting darker in those areas. We took him to the vet for an exam and blood work at which time he was diagnosed with thyroid disease and would have to be on medication (Soloxine) for the rest of his life. The medication was suppose to also help stop the hair loss but instead it got much worse and his skin got really black. We also started him on Omega 3 supplements hoping it would help his skin but still no change. The Soloxine helped him lose weight and he now has tons of energy but we were still dealing with his skin problem.
My husband started researching products for hair loss and found DERMagic. The stories and the testimonials of the customers on their website were similar to Gus’ situation so we were willing to give it a try. We would do anything to help our baby but it is always scary to use a product that you are not familiar with so we were very relieved to see an advertisement for DERMagic in FIDO Friendly magazine.
We ordered the product and started using it immediately after we received it, which was this past February. I must say, Gus really enjoys what we call “lotion time” because he knows we will be massaging in the Skin Rescue lotion and he loves a good massage…LOL…within a few weeks we could tell a difference in the color of his skin and his hair started growing back!!! We couldn’t believe it and for it to start to work so fast was amazing!!!
Gus also has allergies, poor baby, he will bite his paws until they bleed. Again, we took him to the vet and he was put on medication and steriods. He also took benadryl for the itching and for a dog his size, he had to take a high dosage. We purchased DERMagic hot spot salve and Oh My Goodness…it is a miracle in a bottle!!! If he starts to bite his paws I put it on and it is immediate relieve!!! No more biting and no bleeding paws. I cannot tell you how happy we are with this product! I want everyone to know about it!
Gus still has some hair loss but as you can see in the picture I took today, it looks so much better!
