The Helen Woodward Animal Center March Madness “Sweet Sixteen” Puppies are back! Last year they picked the winning team on live TV and FIDO thinks they can do it again!
Rancho Santa Fe, CA (Mar. 28, 2013) – Last year, the Wildcat’s ultimate victory wasn’t a surprise to everyone. Helen Woodward Animal Center’s “Sweet Sixteen” team of cuddly puppies showed they knew a thing or two about playing ball. Sports fans were treated to a “live” televised prediction of the winning team on FOX 5’s mornings show. There, the “Final Fur (Four)” – dressed in team jerseys – took on a bowls of puppy food to help them predict the season’s Kentucky-based victor. This year, the Center Adoptions Department aims to let the pups predict the winner again, all while showing off these adorable and available orphan pets bearing the names of the Final Sixteen Team Mascots.
Beginning Thursday, March 28th, Helen Woodward Facebook followers can watch as Sweet Sixteen puppies go head-to-head in cuteness one-on-one match-ups in an attempt to find out who goes home first. With faces like these, this game guarantees to be more challenging than any seen throughout college sports arenas in the weeks ahead. In the cuteness department, each one of these puppies is a slam-dunk and no matter how the voting results come in, adopting any one of these “final sixteen” will be a very sweet victory indeed.
Then, stay tuned as the team puppies narrow down to “Final Fur” and, bedecked in mascot-emblazoned jerseys, they attempt to go 2-2 in predicting this year’s win! There is a special charm in every puppy, but we think Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Sweet Sixteen puppies have a bit of magic in them. Let’s see if they have a paw in casting the winning spell on their favorite team!
