M&J Dog Essentials: Product review

Imagine being able to infuse the hair with nutrient fusion, follow it up with oh-so-rich shampoo and conditioner and walk away with a mane of hair so vibrant and healthy, you'll wonder how you ever made it through with anything less?

Introducing M&J Dog Essentials for your dog (though it sure sounds tempting for us humans, too). As the proud mom to a tri-colored (much white) cocker spaniel, my ears perk up at the sound of a cleansing system that makes a coat shiny, healthy and smelling good beyond day one.

So step by step, I followed the instructions for the ultimate in-home spa experience for my dog:

Step 1: Nutrient Fusion (Pre-Bath, green bottle) Apply before the bath on a dry coat, the dogs can run around while this is on, it is fast absorbing and you can leave it on up to 30 min!  Nutrient Fusion starts to break loose dirt and debris while conditioning and infusing essential vitamins and nutrients back into the skin & coat.

Step 2: Purely Clean Shampoo & Conditioner (yellow bottle) Our shampoo is sulfate & paraben free, it is a low sudsing shampoo, it works to get rid of the dirt and debris without stripping away the healthy, natural oils in the coat. Larger dogs benefit from application via sponge. The sponge makes it really easy to disperse the shampoo over the dogs, kind of like a loofah for us!

Step 3: Show Dog Shine Leave-In Conditioner (purple bottle) - You will love this for your dogs!  You can apply it right after bath time plus any time in between!  It conditions the coat, adds a nice shine (without buildup), plus it has karanja oil which is a natural pest repellent, and avocado oil which has the highest UV protection of any natural oil.  I have a Boston Terrier and I apply this on a daily basis, just put a small amount in your palms, rub them together and then run your hands over their coats.  Like a hand lotion for dogs!  Another quick tip, you can also use this after shampooing as a rinse out detangler, work the product through your dogs hair and rinse!

They also have a great herbal rinse: Click here to watch the video of the herbal rinse relaxing treatment for dogs

So I followed the above steps and watched as my dirty dog Dexter went from a muddy mess to a oh-so-clean pooch. I loved the Purely Clean bath, which pre-bath was such an oil-infused odor-iffic way to start the process. I followed with shampoo and conditioner and then watched as Dex got the post bath "zoomies" to dirty himself back up. Not so, as the M&J line had other plans. Not only is he smelling freshly bathed close to 72 hours later, but his occasional flare up from allergies seems to be quelled.  Bonus points for this!

Beyond the bottle, M&J is eco-friendly as a whole. They go green in every way possible and we love that aspect of this line as well.

My dog didn't smell like wet dog for the first time in his life when we finished his bath. He smelled clean and the infusion of oils coming together wafted on the air all afternoon. The scent is not the type to make you sneeze or frown if you aren't into floral bouquets. This is crisp, inviting, and reminiscent of a fine spa.

So the next time Dex decides to do a dastardly deed and get muddified, I feel good knowing M&J is at home waiting.
