There are 92 recycled bottles in each large round bed. You had me at recycle. One large and one medium size dog at home to test these beds out and I was hooked. Junior weighs at least 85 pounds and when he plops down on one of the P.L.A.Y. beds, he does not sink, he ‘sorta’ bounces. How can that be? The stuffing is made up of 100% post-consumer recycled products. The company even developed their own trademarked filler called Planet Fill™ created from cleaned and recycled plastic bottles.
And the artisan-designed fabrics are just lovely. My personal favorite is called Greenery with pear and rifle green coloring. Its leafy motif goes great in my office over by the Buddha fountain.
Another beautiful design is the Cameo showing a side-profile silhouette of a dog, somewhat of a vintage look and this bed ends up in our kitchen eating area next to the built in 100-year-old historic bar back.
The zippered 100% cotton coverings are machine washable and what’s fabulous is that you can order covers only, should you wish to change up the design from time to time.
My dogs play ‘dog bed bingo’ in my office and time and time again, the beds they are most attracted too are the beds by P.L.A.Y.
