Pomerian interviews “Twilight” movie star Justin Chon

Don’t be fooled by the tie or the British accent. Dexter is first and foremost a dog. We came up with the idea for “Dexter’s Hollywood Hangout” because he makes such funny expressions and genuinely seems to think about whatever it is you are saying to him (with a head tilt, a wrinkle in the eyebrow, or his little doggy smile). We would laugh about how if he could talk, all of his questions would be dog related, i.e. “What are you eating?” or “Wanna play fetch?” We decided it would be even funnier if he were talking to celebrities since he wouldn’t care about anything superficial, and would just want to know what kind of food they have on set and if they disliked the mailman as much as he does. So, with the help of some friends, we started his web series “Dexter’s Hollywood Hangout.”

So far, we have taped three guests: Jodie Sweetin (Full House), Justin Chon (Twilight), and Tammy Pescatelli (Comedy Central Comedian).  All have had their own unique experience while being interviewed by our beloved Pomeranian.

Jodie is a friend and has met Dexter before, so she was really enthusiastic about being his first guest. The hardest thing for Dexter was to control his excitement about being surrounded by so many people – he mostly just wanted to sniff everyone, see if they would play fetch and rub his tummy. Jodie enjoyed answering the dog-related line of questioning and was a great sport about the entire experience.

Justin was a little caught off guard when he arrived for the interview and discovered that he would be speaking to a dog, although he mentioned that he has experienced stranger interviews before. During the interview, Dexter kept laying down every time Justin started to speak. So Justin started working with Dexter to get him to stay seated and focus on the interview at hand. Thanks to Justin’s willingness to pitch in and help keep his dog host on point, the interview turned out great!

Tammy was very excited to get interviewed by Dexter. She just kept forgetting that he was the host and kept picking Dexter up to cuddle with him (which he thoroughly enjoyed). Her answers were all great and we have almost too much great material to put into the episode.
