Publisher puts the Dyson CD23 pet canister vacuum to the test

When we built our home six years ago, I was so excited to finally have a Central-Vacuum. This meant no more lugging around the vacuum cleaner from room to room and hoping all the outlets were situated at appropriate distances on the wall and most importantly, no more dumping the bag. The bag that had become my nemesis over the years, the bag that I could never quite get to fit where it was supposed to, the bag I had to ask my husband to re-attach time and time again.  My romance with the Central Vac started off just as expected and I never looked back. That’s why when asked to review the Dyson DC23 Pet Canister Vacuum, I wasn’t sure that it would come close to my beloved Central Vac.

Boy was I wrong!

How can I describe my delight at using the Dyson? It is so lightweight and I have never experienced such ease at using various vacuum attachments as I have with the Dyson. Everything just snaps together! You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand how this appliance works. Right up my alley. The power is awesome. My Central Vac never had such powerful suction and best of all, no bags. The clear and easy to remove canister simply lifts off with a push of a button and the bottom lid swings open for ease of disposal.

With two dogs and one cat, I do need to vacuum a little more often, but I must say, its something I kinda look forward to now.
