San Francisco Fido Fashion Show

WHO/WHAT:

The San Francisco Design Center and the Luxury Marketing Council of San Francisco are proud to present the first annual Haute Dog | SF, a doggie runway fashion show that will feature 60 canine models and pooches, modeling outfits from the elegant to the outrageous. For dog lovers, San Francisco has never seen the likes of this before.  Bay Area interior designers selected luscious and luxurious fabrics from the Design Center’s showrooms to design and fabricate ensembles for the pups.  

Willie Brown will introduce the show’s emcee Wilkes Bashford and his dachshund, Duchie. The dogs of 49’ers Vernon Davis and Adam Snyder will strut in the show, and there will be a silent auction including an autographed 49’ers jersey, Maroon 5 guitar, a custom dog house and more, along with cocktails and edibles.

WHY:

The event will benefit Canine Companions for Independence, the Bay-Area nonprofit that provides trained assistance dogs free of charge to children, adults and veterans with disabilities.  Canine Companions is the largest non-profit provider of assistance dogs and is recognized worldwide for the quality of their dogs and matching capabilities. The designers were drawn and moved by their motto … “the most advanced technology capable of transforming the life of a person with a disability has a cold nose and a warm heart!”  Haute Dog | SF will launch Canine Companions’ presence in San Francisco – and what better dog-centric city is there??
