Sip in Style with Your Pooch at Lula Cellars of Mendocino County, CA
February 22, 2017 • Trends
Lula Cellars is proud to welcome 2-legged guests and their 4-legged friends to their tasting room in the heart of Mendocino’s spectacular wine country. Visitors can sample some of the best small production wines in the world, while Fido makes friends with Lula’s winery dog, a sweetheart of Yellow Labrador (with a bit of Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed in) named Honey.
Lula only sells directly to consumers -- which keeps their prices people-friendly -- and their warm and inviting tasting room is the perfect setting for sipping on award-winning wines in the company of your canine friend.
In addition to a tasting room, the 22-acre Lula property features a pond, a 14-acre Pinot Noir vineyard, a small-production winemaking facility, and a 10,000 square foot ‘Events Area’ available for weddings and other private events. A seating area outside offers guests stunning views of the surrounding property and the Pinot Noir growing area known as “The Deep End” of the Anderson Valley. Our furry guests are encouraged to cool off in the pond, and Lula even provides tennis balls for their fetching pleasure.
Lula welcomes all well-behaved creatures to the tasting room, and in the past has hosted a Chinchilla rabbit in a stroller, and even a blue-bellied lizard. Located just off Highway 128 in California’s lush Anderson Valley, Lula Cellars is a delightful destination for you and your furry (or scaly) companion.
Lula Cellars’ tasting room is open daily, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is located at 2800 Guntly Road (off of Hwy 128) in Philo, CA.
