Sleepypod Air: Product review

As pet parents who have traveled over 6,000 miles with our pets in cabin, we were so excited to hear Sleepypod designed a pet carrier to be used in-cabin!
Our carrier arrived and we excitedly assembled it in about a minute flat. The Sleepypod zipper runs ¾ of the way around the carrier to create an easy way to store when not in used. The carrier arrived in it’s flattened stored manner and easily zipped around to reveal it’s sturdy shape. The carrier itself is clearly well made. We were immediately taken with its gorgeous looks and functional design.
Sleepypod Air is extremely well made of highly durable materials. The front, top and back are covered in a very durable mesh webbing so pets can see their surroundings – and an option black interior curtain can be slid over the back, top or front if your pet doesn’t want to see their surroundings. An interior clip allows your cat or dog to be leashed while the carrier is open, and two snaps, one on the window and one inside allow us to fold the window open so Fido can see his surroundings! On the outside, a generously sized pocket on each side provides ample storage for any treats, foldable bowls or toys that you wish to carry on. Another great feature of the Sleepypod Air is its zippers; the zippers zip together and create space to accommodate a luggage lock for added security for our pets. 
Sleepypod Air comes with a padded shoulder belt which clips on in a diagonal manner to provide exceptional comfort for both you and your pet as you make your way through the airport.
We tested our Sleepypod Air during a short flight to Philadelphia. The flight attendants remarked on what a gorgeous carrier we brought on, and they were very happy when they saw how well it fit under the seat in front of us!
Once inside the airplane, the bottom lips of the Sleepypod Air carrier fold into themselves to shorten the length to fit sideways under the airplane set in front of you. Carrier unfolded: 22”. One end folded: 19”; both ends folded: 16”! This makes flight attendants very happy as it continues to provide ample room for your pet.
Once in flight, the Sleepypod can be pulled lengthwise and the side lips unfolded for your pet to stretch out for it’s flight. The soft plush interior bedding ensures optimal comfort.
Another option for comfortable travel to and from the gate is the side sleeve that unzips to allow us to attach the Sleepypod Air to our luggage handle. A hidden clip ensures safety as we pull our pet along instead of carrying!
When travel is finished, the plush interior bedding unzips for easy cleaning and the carrier can be unzipped completely to fold flat for easy storage.
Overall, our Sleepypod Air proved to be a stylish, well-constructed carrier providing comfortable travel for both people and pets. We are very impressed with the quality workmanship that goes into Sleepypod’s carrier products.
Sleepypod Air can accommodate dogs up to 15 pounds and cats up to 17.5 pounds.
