The Black Dog Candle Shoppe … We have always been dog lovers and have adopted several rescue dogs over the years. We currently have 2, Larry who is a Lab St. Bernard mix, and Bonnie who is a mix of Pit Bull, Treeing Walker Coon Hound, and others. Near the end of 2020, we created The Black Dog Candle Shoppe through a desire to help more animals.
We decided on the name “Black Dog” due to the fact that black dogs “and cats” are often the last animals to be adopted and as a result tend to stay in shelters longer and are euthanized more often than other animals. This is known as “The Black Dog Syndrome”.
We began as an ETSY shop, and recently launched our website which also includes wholesale. Check us out at: theblackdogcandleshoppe.com. We’re proud to say our product is currently offered in over 40 shops in more than 20 states nationwide.
How We Help:
10% of our retail sales are donated to local animal shelters. We also take part in several fund-raising events for rescues throughout the year.
Our Product:
Our candles are 100% soy made from American grown soy beans. This means that they burn clean and when used correctly will burn for approximately 70 hours. We offer many amazing scents, and in additional to our constantly updated labels, we are happy to create a custom label for your special occasion or gift needs.
