The Cool Pet Pad™ product review for dogs

You know how dogs seek out the coolest spot in the house? The bathroom floor, nearest the air conditioner, by a fan or a window??? How neat would it be if we as their loving guardians could replicate that sensation and be able to keep Fido cool and comfy anywhere in the house and any place we travel?
The Cool Pet Pad™, the latest product from The Green Pet Shop, does just that.
Oh and did we mention it requires no refrigeration, electricity or maintenance? The gel inside is safe and is protected by an outer vinyl cover. Priced at $19.99, The Cool Pet Pad™ holds the chill for cool pups for about 3-4 hours of use. It lasted about 3-1/2 hours. I know because once my Dexter chilled his cool self on it, he hunkered down for a nice summer nap. It was 92 degrees that day. He could care less.
Larry Wright, President of The Green Pet Shop, tells us, “This helps pets stay cool and comfortable on warmer days or provides cold therapy for joint pains and aches.” For those of you with dogs who are elderly or are affected by Cushing’s disease, allergies, skin issues, or arthritis, this product would make a welcome addition to your pet’s comfort level.
We took this to the park on a picnic in August and set it down. Dexter found his spot under the picnic table and would seek refuge there throughout the hot summer day. In the shade and cool underneath, he was one cool dog on a very humid day. It easily slides into crates and kennels and the cooling process recharges automatically after a period of non-use.
In a hurry and want to speed up the cooling process? You are welcome to refrigerate or freeze the The Cool Pet Pad™ but it is not necessary.
On a side note, as I prepared to write this review, a thunderstorm was brewing in my neck of the woods. Knowing my dog isn’t fond of thunderstorms, I placed his Anxiety Wrap on him, which calms him down 90% of the time. He proceeded to sit on the Cool Pet Pad™ unprovoked. For some reason, he took calming refuge on the cooling pad and napped there for an hour as the storm blew through. Had the electricity gone out, as it has a time or two during wicked storms, I was glad Dexter would have the cooling pad if the air conditioning and fans didn’t work.
I’ll be traveling most of September and plan to pack this in the suitcase for Dexter. It travels easily, can go right in with your clothes in the suitcase or carry on, and is a source of cooling comfort from home no matter where your travels take you.
