FIDO was thrilled to hear this!
The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel’s General Manager Bruce Brainerd presented checks to Friends of Orange County’s Homeless Pets (FOCHP) and the Wounded Veteran Initiative of Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) at the resort’s Yappy Howl-iday Celebration, Saturday, December 7.
Dr. Jann Lane and Karen Yeomans accepted a check for $54,000 on behalf of FOCHP and a check for $36,000 was presented to Chris Conlin, CCI’s incoming Southwest Region Board President. Monies donated represented the net proceeds from the 2013 season of Yappy Hour and The Diamond Ball, held November 9.
“Between the popularity of Yappy Hour and the huge success of The Diamond Ball, we are thrilled to make such significant donations to both FOCHP and CCI,” announced Brainerd. “As we celebrate our 30th Anniversary we are reminded that our responsibility extends beyond the day-to-day operations of the hotel. By embracing causes such as these, we can expand and nurture our guest relationships in an authentic and meaningful way,” he added.
