Water safety for dogs: NEO-PAWS life vest
September 09, 2011 • Product Reviews •
Neo-Paws sent my boxer Jake a life vest to try out. I was glad to receive it since we live on the Snake River in Idaho and Jake is well, not very water-friendly.
In fact, he won’t even dip his paws in the bone shaped swimming pool that our Lab Junior calls home the few months of summer. With kayaks and rafts at the ready, we wanted Jake to be safe should we decide to take him with us for a moonlight paddle.
The NEO-PAWS™ Life Vest is made of a sturdy nylon and is available in seven sizes - XS to XXXL- to fit any breed of dog. A highly reflectiv handle makes it visible day and night and also allows you to pull you pet out of the water with ease and comfort. A uniquely designed chest- piece was added to give extra support and buoyancy to the pet's hea and body in case of an emergency. When extra support is not required, the chest-piece can be removed. The nylon mesh-webbing straps are adjustable to fit your pet snugly. Their soft texture is comfortable for your pet and will not blister his torso. The life vest has straps that once secure for proper fit, can either be trimmed down to size or tucked up under the vest.
Jake is still not fond of getting wet, but at least he is safe for whatever water features turn up during our travels. Many weeks of summer remain for us here in Idaho and if you have been looking for a great safety vest to keep Fido afloat for your water excursions, be it the swimming pool or local lakes, take a look at Neo-Paws website for information and video about their life vest along with booties, hats and much more. www.neopaws.com 888-364-7463 $26.00+.
