West Paw Design: Nature Nap product review
November 14, 2010 • Product Reviews
West Paw Design beckoned to FIDO Friendly magazine and asked if we might try their Nature Nap dog bed. I was hesitant about the idea of a dog bed. I even have a nightshirt that reads “Sleeps With Dogs,” to give you an idea about my pooch’s sleeping habits. However, while traveling for business recently I easily packed the Nature Nap into my suitcase to give it a whirl.
I let Dexter try the West Paw Design Nature Nap bed out at home for a week before traveling with it. Dogs are, after all, creatures of habit. While snoozing beneath my desk as I worked, Dex took this bed immediately, fusspot that he is. He dug his spot and marked it up by rolling on it, then settled in for a nappie…two…or three. All he knows is that mom put a comfy cozy mat down and he nestled into it. For me, I love that this company used recycled materials that feel oh so soft and smushy (technical word there, smushy).
With his scent fully enveloped in the fibers, we then traveled cross country via car to Denver and back to the east coast, taking the Nature Map into each new hotel and Bed & Breakfast we encountered. With each stop, Dex thoroughly enjoyed a tender nap. Of course, when it came time for bed, there he was nuzzled up next to me (no complaints here), but knowing the Nature Mat is clean, safe, comfy and easy to care for during his naptime gave me great comfort and peace of mind.
When inquiring about maintenance and price tag, I am happy to report neither will take much (time nor money). One piece, toss into the washing machine and then dry, wha-la – ready to go again. Oh, and love love love the non-pill factor and lightweight feel. This product holds bunches of bark and bite, as it stood thousands of miles, plenty of suitcase manhandling, and a plethora of puppy snoozes.
Available in several colors, we love this as a holiday gift or naptime “just because” present for your Fido or one on your gift list. Learn more by visiting PupLife.com.
