World Bee Day 5/20: How Harry Barker is Giving Back to Help this Endangered Species

Our beloved bee is in trouble and the UN created World Bee Day on May 20 to raise awareness and look for solutions to help. Did you know nearly 90% of the world’s wild flowering plant species, 75% of the world food crops and 35% of global agricultural land depend on animal pollinators like bees? Bees are increasingly under threat with extinction rates going up to 1,000 times higher than normal due to human impacts. Nearly 35% of invertebrate pollinators (primarily bees and butterflies) face extinction globally

We all depend on the survival of bees and here is something simple you can do to help. Harry Barker - an eco-friendly pet lifestyle, home and accessory brand - offers two products that trigger a donation to the Planet Bee Foundation to help save the bees and our planet.

Honey Bee Canvas Dog Toy ($14): Who wouldn't want this bright buzzing fellow to join the garden party? Complete with a sturdy canvas front and berber fleece backing, this friendly bee will make all the pups smile

Honey Bee Treat Bag ($17): Adorned with a buzzing honeybee, this rustic drawstring treat bag is filled with 12 oz. of all-natural peanut butter biscuits baked with love in the USA.

10% of each sale of these toys is donated to Planet Bee Foundation. Saving the bees will help save our beautiful planet.

Not only are Harry Barker products fun and functional, many of them are made of sustainable materials that have been re-purposed and given a second chance. In turn, their products will often end up in the homes of pets who have also been given a second chance. It’s a life cycle that keeps on giving back. They use earth-friendly fabrics and azo-free dyes, eco-fleece and “green” bed inserts made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastics, as well as all natural ingredients.

Where to buy: All of these products above and more are available at HarryBarker.com and their Amazon shop page.
