How Adopting FIDO Changed My Life - CONTEST CLOSED

Our contest winner was Stephanie Vance’s entry  The Siren Call - This piece tells the story of how Ozzie Vance-Silva, a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog puppy, rescued their family on September 21st, 2007.  “”He was living then at the Washington Animal Rescue League ( ), but now lives wherever he likes in our house.”

How has adopting a dog from the shelter or street changed your life and/or those of your family?

To coincide with our 5th Annual Month Long Pet Adoption Tour: Get Your Licks on Route 66, we are hosting a contest where one lucky winner will see their story in print in an upcoming issue of FIDO Friendly magazine.

To enter, your article must be original and 450-700 words submitted single spaced on word document along with one-two high-resolution images of you and your dog(s) who was adopted. Please include the adoption date and where they were adopted.
