Two of Portland’s Fido-Friendly Finest

You and Fido will dig these two very distinctly different, and elegant hotels of the Pacific Northwest.

By Nicholas Sveslosky, Editor at Large

Hotel Dossier

Hotel Dossier is a sophisticated and elegant hotel. In the heart of downtown Portland, Hotel Dossier boasts views of downtown and the surrounding Portland hills. You and Fido will think you’ve struck gold in this classic down-to-earth Pacific Northwest city.

The rooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms with huge walk-in showers and oversized bathtubs gives a private spa feel. Fido is a VIP at Hotel Dossier, and he is welcomed with food bowls, tasty snacks, toys from the local pet store, and a recent copy of FIDO Friendly magazine. Fido is also given a welcome letter with the lay of the land dog rules and local contact information for vets, doggie daycare, shopping and more!

Hotel deLuxe

If grand lobby entrances and classic elegant décor is your thing, then Hotel deLuxe fits the bill. Entering Hotel deLuxe, you will feel like you have stepped out of the rainy streets of Portland and into a silver screen throwback era. From large lobby and bedroom ceilings, to an intimate and mysterious bar, to one of the top restaurants in Portland, Hotel deLuxe is Fido’s and my new favorite.

Hotel deLuxe is a short distance away from its sister property, Hotel Dossier. Though these two hotels are under the same umbrella company of Provenance Hotels, their unique styles give you a completely separate experience. One thing is the same, however, and that is how well Fido is treated at both hotels. Hotel deLuxe has the same pet welcoming package as Hotel Dossier.

One thing that is unique to Hotel deLuxe, however, is Pet Tea time.
