Aloft Greenville Downtown Relaunches Foster Dog Adoption Program /Greenville County Animal Care

Following a year-long hiatus, Aloft Greenville Downtown is pleased to announce the relaunch of its foster dog adoption program with a new local rescue organization partner, Greenville County Animal Care.
Since the program’s inception in 2016, Aloft Greenville downtown has proudly connected nearly 100 foster dogs with their fur-ever families. One at a time, adoptable dogs reside in the hotel lobby with a custom-designed doghouse and Serta Pets dog bed, increasing their exposure to potential adoptive families and bringing smiles to guests’ faces along the way. Hotel associates walk, care for, and play with the dogs, which are adoptable by both hotel guests and Greenville residents following an application process and adoption fee. Once the adoption process has been finalized, the new parents and their furry friend are provided with a special care package filled with dog treats and goodies courtesy of Greenville’s Woofgang Bakery and Grooming to take home with them.
“The return of our foster dog adoption program has been much-anticipated and feels even more exciting due to our new partnership with Greenville County Animal Care,” said Aloft Greenville General Manager Dustin Cash. “We look forward to not only hosting adoptable dogs in our hotel lobby but also volunteering our time and hearts at Greenville County Animal Care’s shelter this month.”
The hotel recently welcomed its latest dog-in-residence, six-year-old female terrier mix, Pink Pink. This sweet and sassy girl who packs a big personality in a small body, loves cuddling and going on walks, quickly found her fur-ever family in an Aloft Greenville associate, becoming the 97th dog the hotel has successfully connected with a permanent, loving home. A new adoptable dog is expected to be brought in within the coming weeks.
Aloft Greenville Downtown, which is managed by McKibbon Hospitality, is a proud pet-friendly property. Guests are encouraged to bring their furry friends along with them, with in-room Serta Pet dog beds available during their stay as well as plenty of treats and head pats from hotel associates. In addition to Aloft Greenville Downtown, McKibbon's Aloft Asheville Downtown, Aloft Tallahassee Downtown, and Aloft Orlando Downtown properties have also implemented foster dog programs in partnership with local rescue organizations, collectively finding permanent homes for hundreds of dogs in need.
