Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Puppy Love 5K Run Walk: February 12

WHAT:
Helen Woodward Animal Center, along with Iams and Roadrunner Sports, invite runners and walkers to the 3rd Annual Puppy Love 5K Run Walk. With two courses (one for runners and one for walkers) along scenic Highway 101, you’re sure to find something that’s just your speed. Following the race, our athletes and spectators will enjoy a lively day of activities including a Valentine-themed doggy costume contest; Doga Yoga; a fashion show and mini classes from Pure Barre La Costa; food and canine-loving vendors in the Wagging Wellness Village; and even an opportunity to “meet your furry match.”
Registration begins at 7 am and then the race kicks off at 8am with Celebrity Grand Marshalls Raoul Martinez from FOX 5 San Diego leading the run and Surf Dog Ricochet leading the Walk. Following the race, Celebrity Judges Jagger and Kristi from MAGIC 92.5 will be joined by L’Auberge Puppy Celebrity Sofie to pick the top awards during the Furry Valentine Canine Costume Contest. Seeking someone special for you and your dog this Valentine’s Day? Single participants might want to try a fun match up, sponsored by It’s Just Lunch. And you won’t want to miss a visit from Pet Expert, Blogger and Radio Star Arden Moore!
This annual event is good for your heart in two ways…great exercise for you and your pet and the happy-hearted satisfaction of knowing that all proceeds support the pets and programs of Helen Woodward Animal Center.
