Inn at 500 Capitol a Fido-friendly Boutique Hotel

Our 12-pound adopted dog Honey was off to her first hotel adventure without her fur-brothers for our stay at the Inn at 500 Capitol in Boise, Idaho.
We were thrilled to learn that they welcomed dogs and their dog themed rooms and floor had all of our tails wagging.
Checking in is a delightful experience as we pulled up a chair and were offered a glass of wine or beer. Their fridge in the lobby is stocked with juices and water and a basket of chips and goodies are there for your taking during the duration of your stay.
Stepping off the elevator, we were greeted with a mural of dogs as well as photos of dogs lining the hallway. Upon entering our room, we saw at the head of the bed a silver statue of a dog! We wasted no time placing Honey next to the statue for a photo opp.
Our room featured a gas fireplace and small walk out balcony perfect for enjoying a glass of wine. A very cool feature is the private butler pantry for room deliveries. You open the cupboard to discover your tasty meal, no need to be interrupted by a knock at the door and greet your waiter in your bathrobe. After your meal is finished, simply place your dishes in the cupboard, not outside your hotel room. Upon request, we had delivered to our room a dog bed and bowls for Honey to use.
We were in town during the Farmer’s Market and after a great nights sleep, we took Honey with us to walk amongst the denizens of downtown Boise, sample wines and checked out the local artists. The Inn at 500 Capitol is within walking distance of beautiful parks, which Boise is known for, shops, theaters and restaurants.
