JetBlue Enhances Its JetPaws Program

Today, JetBlue today announced a special treat for pet lovers- the all new “All Your Pet Can Jet” (AYPCJ) pass. All Your Pet Can Jet is  an unlimited pet travel pass for only $299 (that’s unlimited pet travel for 4 months for what you’d normally spend taking your pet on just three-one way flights.)  A limited amount of passes will be sold from August 29 to September 5, 2012 and are valid for unlimited travel with a pet by the pass owner from September 7 through December 31, 2012.

NEW YORK, (August 29, 2012) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU)™ today announces a special treat for pet lovers. The pet friendly airline, will offer an extension to its JetPaws program with the launch of its new “All Your Pet Can Jet” (AYPCJ) pass, an unlimited pet travel pass, for only $299 (a). Providing a substantial benefit to pet owners, a limited amount of passes will be sold from August 29 to September 5, 2012 and are valid for infinite travel with a pet by the pass owner from September 7 through December 31, 2012. The AYPCJ pass also provides an added value for TrueBlue customers, JetBlue’s customer loyalty program.  Customers who purchase an AYPCJ pass by August 29 will earn 300 TrueBlue points for one way and 600 TrueBlue points for roundtrip flights when their pet travels with them using the pass for the remainder of the year. AYPCJ passes will be available at shop.jetblue.com.

As an airline that is partial to four legged travelers, JetBlue gladly accepts small cats and dogs in its aircraft cabins on both domestic and international flights (with the exception of flights to Jamaica, Barbados, and Saint Lucia). The airline does not ship live animals as cargo or in the bellies of any aircraft. When traveling, pets must remain inside a closed carrier at the airport as well as in the aircraft. The AYPCJ pass is nonrefundable after September 5, 2012 and is not valid on alliance airlines. Customers traveling on JetBlue must book their pets by calling 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583). The $25 booking fee will be waived. Pets cannot be booked online. The regular travel fee for pets is normally $100 per travel segment. Each pet and their carrier count as one personal, carry on item onboard. The combined weight cannot exceed 20 pounds. Only one pet is allowed per customer, with a few exceptions, and pets cannot be substituted with the AYPCJ pass.
