Join rock star Rob Thomas at the Fur Ball in New York
May 26, 2011 • Travel • Rescue •
On Saturday, June 11th, Pets Alive, one of the oldest and largest no kill animal rescue organizations in the United States, will host celebrity guests and hundreds of animal welfare advocates from across the nation at the second annual Fur Ball Gala Fundraiser. Marisol and Rob Thomas, board members and partners of Pets Alive, and platinum sponsor Churchills of Mount Kisco will join in raising critically needed funds to support Pets Alive’s international advocacy and rescue of companion animals.
The Fur Ball will feature a very special acoustic performance by Rob Thomas. An elegant evening at the Saw Mill Club of Mount Kisco with signature cocktails, fabulous auctions, dinner and dancing, the Fur Ball is Pets Alive’s most important fundraiser. It is also one of the most talked about charity events of the year. An awards presentation will honor partners in rescue for their dedication and commitment to supporting Pets Alive’s no kill mission, valiant rescue accomplishments, and kindness above malice to peers and animals.
Event sponsors, ticket sales, auctions and individual donations help to ensure the success of the Fur Ball. Each year Pets Alive saves more than 2,000 animals, and is working to help end the killing of animals in shelters across the country. There is a tremendous need for the support and education that Pets Alive provides to other rescue organizations, communities and individuals both locally and nationally.
Pets Alive operates two locations in N.Y. Pets Alive Animal Sanctuary, now in its 30th year, is located on 80 acres in Middletown, NY. Pets Alive Westchester (formerly the Elmsford Animal Shelter) is located in Elmsford, NY and is the largest no kill animal rescue center in Westchester County. In late 2011, Pets Alive will open a sanctuary and bed and breakfast rescue retreat in Puerto Rico to eradicate the abuse and neglect of companion animals in Puerto Rico.
Join us at the Fur Ball! Our most important fundraiser for the animals.
