On a recent snowboarding trip to Mount Bachelor, I had the pleasure of staying at the Tetherow where Fido is welcome. Rooms at Tetherow that face the back of the resort boast large sweeping views of the Tetherow golf course, which is covered by a winter wonderland during the winter ski months.
When traveling with your furry companion, be sure to call ahead to book a Fido-friendly room or vacation home and they’ll be welcomed with a Dog Package that includes a special bed (in-house use only), doggie bowl (in-house use only), homemade dog treats, and sustainable waste bags. A pet fee of $50 per pet, per stay, applies to Tetherow Lodge rooms and for vacation homes, it’s $75 per pet, per stay.Dogs must be under 75 lbs. A maximum of two dogs are permitted.
Situated on 700 acres with miles of trails for hiking, biking and dog walking, Tetherow borders Deschutes National Forest, which provides 1.6 million acres and hundreds of miles of trails. A quick two-minute drive, or 17 minutes walk on the C.O.D. trail will take you to Good Dog! Park, an off-leash dog haven. Good Dog! Park recreation area is a favorite amongst Bend locals.
