These five OHIO STATE PARK LODGES offer FIDO FRIENDLY accomodations!
With plenty of wide, grassy spaces, lots of walking trails and a variety of pet-friendly accommodations, Ohio State Park Lodges are great getaways for pets as well as their people.
“We understand that some people want the peace of mind having their pets along, and others just feel that a visit to one of our state parks is enhanced by having their best friend by their side,” said Dianna Rom, regional director of sales and marketing for five Ohio State Park Lodges operated by Xanterra Parks & Resorts.
The five Ohio State Park Lodges are located throughout the state and within an easy drive of major cities in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. The lodges are Salt Fork State Park Lodge in central Ohio near Cambridge, Mohican State Park Lodge in north central Ohio near Loudonville,Punderson Manor State Park Lodge in northeastern Ohio near Newbury, Maumee Bay State Park Lodge in northwestern Ohio near Toledo and Deer Creek State Park Lodge near Columbus.
Pet-friendly lodge rooms are available at Mohican State Park Lodge, and pet-friendly cottages are available at Deer Creek, Maumee Bay, Punderson Manor and Salt Fork Lodges.
A fee of $15 per pet, per night or $72 a week, with a maximum of two per room applies. A limited number of rooms or cottages per lodge are pet-friendly, and guests must confirm availability of these rooms with the reservations staff when they make their reservations.
All five lodges are open-year round and feature wide-ranging seasonal activities. Xanterra also operates the marina and facilities at Geneva Marina State Park in Geneva-on-the-Lake in northeastern Ohio.
