Thanksgiving Goes to the Dogs at Antlers at Vail Hotel

You could say Antlers at Vail hotel has gone to the dogs for Thanksgiving: In its ongoing efforts to provide the most amenity-oriented lodging experience available, the Antlers is offering complete chef-prepared traditional dinner with all the trimmings delivered directly to guest suites for the holiday. And now the dog-friendly Colorado condominium hotel has added homemade dog biscuits to its Thanksgiving bounty.

“Thanksgiving is the ultimate family holiday and our guest suites with dining rooms and full kitchens are perfect for group dinners,” says Antlers at Vail GM Rob LeVine. “We were already offering Thanksgiving dinners prepared by Chef Barry Robinson and delivered ready to heat and serve around our guests’ skiing schedule. But for some families – including my own – it isn’t a true holiday celebration without the dog. So we asked Chef Barry if he’d be willing to cook up some Thanksgiving specialty dog biscuits for furry guests, and he agreed.”

The Thanksgiving feast Chef Barry has planned for guests of the Vail Valley Platinum-ranked Antlers at Vail hotel includes roasted turkey breast and homemade giblet gravy, garlic-spiked mashedpotatoes, oven-caramelized butternut squash, fresh green beans with toasted almonds, seasoned stuffing, sweet-tart cranberry sauce, mixed young greens with herb dressing, and for dessert – freshly-baked pumpkin pie and vanilla bean ice cream. The full meal will be delivered to guest suites in ovenproof, recyclable containers, ready to reheat at guests’ convenience. Cost is $35 per person, including service fee and excluding tax. Chef-baked dog biscuits can be included by request at no additional charge.

Another perk for holiday guests at the Antlers? Ski Butlers is now on-site to offer ski rentals and fittings, and provide complimentary ski valet service, shuttling all ski equipment back and forth to the slopes. Guests just drop equipment at the handy rack at the bottom of the Lionshead Gondola when they’re done for the day, and Ski Butlers will do the rest.

Long known for welcoming pet guests – including serving as the Official Dog-Friendly Lodge of the GoPro Mountain Games – the Antlers has even hosted canine celebrities, including famous skateboarding bulldog Floyd. The Antlers at Vail gladly welcomes well-trained, well-behaved pets in approximately 20 percent of its units. Pease call 1-800-843-8245 in advance to confirm that a pet-friendly room is available.

The Antlers at Vail hotel offers a relaxed Vail lodging experience in a fabulous mountain setting and was recently awarded Vail’s highest-level Platinum lodging rating, as well as the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence and GreenLeader status. With condominiums ranging from studio suites up to four-bedroom penthouses, every unit at the Antlers enjoys a fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, private balcony, daily maid service, and complimentary Wi-Fi and parking. The Antlers has an A+ location on the banks of Gore Creek, just steps from restaurants, galleries, shops, free Vail town shuttle and the LionsheadGondola. For more information and reservations visit www.antlersvail.com.
