Unique and clever dog gifts uncovered by FIDO Friendly magazine: Pet Book Lady and More
December 14, 2011 • Trends • Most Popular
We see a lot of different dog-themed products here at FIDO Friendly magazine. When a fun, unique and different idea that embodies the spirit of dog hits our offices, we wag our tails, occasionally howl aloud, and share the news with our fur-ends, blog readers, and subscribers.
Such is the case with a company called Heritage Makers, of which Lisa Taron is an independent consultant. Lisa has been affectionately dubbed “The Pet Book Lady,” but she is oh-so-much more than that, and her products prove it.
Case in point: Ever see a deck of cards incorporating your favorite canine? Seriously, even the Joker card is dog! PLAYING CARDS WITH DOGS ON THEM
Lisa helps folks take their photos and stories and create incredible keepsake projects - from posters and greeting cards, to hard cover books, canvas prints and playing cards.
Did we mention these projects turn our fur-bulously and without breaking the bank? We reported on Lisa in a Bowser on a Budget segment for FIDO Friendly magazine and knew she was a smash hit!
So why does Lisa call herself “The Pet Book Lady?” As Lisa tells it, “I am very passionate about helping people celebrate the love for their pets through our many products. I got the name "Pet Book Lady" when I had a phone call from a new customer from New York and with her strong accent (I'm from Canada) asked me if I was the "Pet Book Lady" I had helped a friend of hers create a storybook celebrating her dachshund. The nickname really resonated with me and I have called myself that ever since. I have also been encouraging the company over the years to add pet themed templates and digital art to the program.”
We could go on and on, but Lisa even has a fab video (see below) and a blog where dog lovers can learn more. She covers a host of pet-related topics along with ideas of celebrating your pet through the printing system. Lisa relates that people can create projects about other elements in their lives - such as weddings, vacation, life stories, etc. Oh and to boot, she has a Masters degree in Gerontology and a passion to help people capture their Life Stories.
