Greenwich, CT – American Pet Products Association (APPA) President, Bob Vetere, is pleased to announce the Pets Add Life (PAL) campaign received the 2012 Petties Award for “Best Video Post.” APPA’s non-profit public awareness campaign, PAL, earned top recognition for blog posts surrounding its ‘Pet Interviews’ viral video series. The 2012 DogTime Pet Blog Awards, also known as The Petties, recognizes 40 nominees, awards 10 winners in various categories, and provides $1,000 donations to shelters of the recipients’ choices, including the Nevada Humane Society on PAL’s behalf.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition within the pet blogging community,” said Vetere. “The primary goal of the Pets Add Life video series and campaign as a whole is to promote multiple pet ownership and adoption and we could not be happier with the overwhelmingly positive response to our campaign and our videos.”
Featuring “talking” animals in a series of videos to help promote multiple pet ownership, PAL’s ‘Pet Interviews’ videos are produced by the famous creator of the wildly popular ‘Ultimate Dog Tease’ YouTube hit, Andrew Grantham. Grantham’s videos have received more than 100 million views and were named No. 2 on YouTube’s Top 10 videos of 2011.
Founded by APPA, the non-profit PAL campaign is designed to demonstrate the joys and benefits of responsible pet ownership and encourage increased animal adoption. To view the 2012 Petties Award winners or to watch the awards show, visit http://petties.dogtime.com/.
