What can you expect from a company that calls themselves ‘rad’? Something rad of course and Rad Dog does not disappoint.
Our beautiful black Lab Junior is pretty good off leash so I was excited to try the Release N Run for the mostly off-leash dog.
Basically, the retractable leash is housed in a covered collar. The Release N Run comes with directions for use and safety precautions and I was glad to see some common sense reminders on the directions for dog guardians when using this excellent tool.
Although we do not run with our dogs, the online video is a good representation of what a running duo looks like and how to incorporate the Release N Run in various situations.
For me, I just enjoyed walking with it and releasing it when we got to the top of the hill at my neighbors house. This is always the point that Junior is excited to run free and meet up with his playmate. In the past that meant me dropping the leash so he could take off at break neck speed with his leash trailing behind. Now with the Release N Run, I take the dragging leash out of the equation.
