Purina Launching a Free iPhone app That Teaches Dog Owners Cool Trick Training for their Pets!

Iconic pet-feeder Purina is set to launch a free iPhone app that teaches dog owners how to train their pets to do much more incredible things, moving past dog training and into canine performance. The result is a pet who will be a companion to distance runners, and who can catch frisbees, perform various agility tricks and jumps, and can even leap as far as 20-30 feet into open water.
This is part of a budding trend which not only takes pet training beyond the notion of traditional obedience and tricks, but also takes the notion of pet fitness beyond the existing “pet pedometer” solutions currently available (mostly for obese pets).
Using the Purina Pro Plan P5 app, dog owners can:
· Set, track and share personalized fitness goals for their dogs
· Monitor nutrition and fitness activities
· Earn Greatness Points by tracking activities and achieving weekly goals
· Earn badges for completing specialized lessons in categories such as agility, dock diving, flying disc, obedience, running and strength
